Kami House
Kami House is named such, as it is our second house located in Kami, a
neighborhood area in southwest Osaka City! We have taken on this quaint
small home for the sole purposes of 1) exchanging with or renting to
travelers, visitors and friends who wish to see Japan and 2) having a
base in Japan to come back to for a visit every now and again when we
decide to eventually move overseas.

Part of a row of traditional houses, "Kami House" has one large
Japanese room, one large as well as one small western room, large
entranceway and foyer, small kitchen, enclosed shower, and a traditional
Japaese-style toilet that can be easily fitted with a western-style
toilet seat.

The house can sleep 5 or 6 people comfortably. For Japanese-style
sleeping, there is one double-sized futon and three single-sized futons.
For Western-style sleeping there is a daybed that is used as a sofa by
day.

Kami house is convenienty located near supermarkets, restaurants and two
JR train lines. If you are purchasing a JR Railpass to travel around
Japan, you can use it to get to and from the Kami house for free!

Another local treat located one block away is a traditional Japanse
neighborhood bath, called a Sento. Here you can experience the
time-honored tradition of washing, rinsing and then soaking in a large

And to help you get around the 'hood' easily, you can use our two bikes,
with the possibility of a third available.

Our dear friend and neighbor U-san can speak a fair amount of English and
is available to assist you with questions regarding the house, the
neighborhood and any concerns you may have during your stay.
